🧂 Ingredients
- 450g mixed dried fruit
- 150g candied peel
- 175g sultanas
- 175g raisins
- 150g suet
- 150g breadcrumbs
- 85g flour
- 150g dark brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 cooking apple, grated
- 2 tbsp mixed spice
- 150ml brandy
- Zest of 1 lemon and 1 orange
📝 Instructions
- Mix all dried fruits and soak in brandy overnight
- Mix remaining ingredients in a large bowl
- Stir in soaked fruit mixture
- Grease a 1.5L pudding basin
- Fill basin with mixture
- Cover with greaseproof paper and foil
- Steam for 8 hours
- Store in a cool place
- Steam for 2 hours before serving
💡 TIP: Make this pudding at least 6 weeks before Christmas. Feed weekly with a tablespoon of brandy!
